The Northeast coast of Taiwan is a spectacular area full of interesting geology, coastal views, and seaside walks. We offer trips to this area as either full day excursions, or as tag-on attractions to our popular hikes at Teapot Mountain or Sandiaoling.
There are several different locations to visit, such as Yehliu GeoPark, Heping Island, the Bitou Cape, the Badouzi Coastal Park, and a favorite place called the “Nanya Peculiar Stone”, along with many others.
There are several locations included in this trip. They can range from road-side stops to 2 hour hikes. We can combine them in many different ways to suit your needs.
These hikes are all relatively easy, but might have a few stairs and slippery surfaces. There is some exposure to heights, slippery surfaces, and rocky terrain.
Private trips start at $12,800TWD for groups of 1 to 3 people. Each additional person is $2,625TWD. Discounts are available for groups of 6 or more. All taxes and fees included.
Private transportation is provided from anywhere in Taipei to the coast. Pickups in other locations can be arranged, sometimes for a small extra fee. Vehicles are insured; Drivers are licensed; and traffic rules are obeyed.
All the main meals are provided for the hike. Clients only need to bring their own snacks and water. If you have any special dietary requests, allergies, or needs, let us know and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
LEADERS AND SAFETY
All of our leaders are Wilderness First Responder certified and carry first aid kits. They have all spent a lot of time hiking in Taiwan and are very experienced in the high mountains. All of our leaders are native speakers of English, but also speak Mandarin and are very knowledgeable about the local mountains, flora/fauna, and culture.
